“Do not let the memories of your past limit the potential of your future. There are no limits to what you can achieve on your journey through life, except in your mind.”
— Roy T. Bennett, The Light in the Heart

It is only when we truly know and understand that we have a limited lifetime and that there is no way of knowing when our time is up, that we will begin to live each day to the fullest, as if it was the only one we had. Roaming Around is my personal answer to this challenge.

On June 12, 2000, at the age of 49, I was invited to the Öresund Broloppet , a half marathon race with over 90,000 participants, to celebrate the opening of the Öresund Bridge between Denmark and Sweden. I wasn’t particularly athletic then and only had half a year to teach myself how to run. Fifteen years later, after running over 20,000 kilometers and many marathons races, it was time to use my endurance skills by switching from running shoes to a touring bike to broaden my horizons and make one dream come true.

“Never stop dreaming,
never stop believing,
never give up,
never stop trying, and
never stop learning.”
